SET BAC: Sagna ruled out for three weeks

Bacary Sagna has been ruled out for three weeks, but there is good news regarding a reported injury to Sergio Aguero.

Sagna was injured while on international duty with France and has suffered a hamstring pull - he is likely to return in early November, 

Aguero remains in South America with fears of a training ground calf injury thankfully allayed..

Aguero told DIario Ole: "I’m quite well now, you get physical fitness playing, not training. Bauza has the decision - I’ll be available for Tuesday. I’m much better. After the Peru game I had two days to make the recovery and I did a little bit of football today. I’m quite well."

POWER SERGE: Aguero has a good record v Paraguay

David Silva and Nolito returned from Spain’s World Cup qualifiers at the weekend, but John Stones won’t be back until after England’s match with Slovenia on Tuesday.

Nicolás Otamendi and Pablo Zabaleta are both suspended for Argentina’s next game with Paraguay allowing them to return to Manchester early, but Aguero 

Fernandinho also remains on international duty with Brazil who play Venezuela in the early hours of Wednesday morning while Claudio Bravo’s Chile face Peru.

Ilkay Gundogan's Germany take on Northern Ireland and Leroy Sane will play for Germany Under-21s against Austria on Tuesday.

Kevin De Bruyne is reportedly progressing well, but along with Fabian Delph, Raheem Sterling and Vincent Kompany, all are likely to be assessed by the medical team throughout the week.

GERRY GOW: Former midfielder in action

Everyone at Manchester City FC is saddened to learn of the passing of Gerry Gow at the age of 64 following his brave battle with illness.

A cult hero in his short spell at Maine Road in the eighties, Gow made 36 appearances for the Blues in 1981, including both games of the FA Cup final against Spurs.
