It was a 2015/16 season of ups and downs for City at home and on the continent.

There were a number of precedents, records and milestones in the campaign – here’s a look at some of some of the most eye-catching.

3 – The Capital One Cup victory in March was the third major trophy won by Manuel Pellegrini.

4 – Number of Etihad Player of the Month awards won by Kevin De Bruyne – the most by any player in a single season.

5 – The number of goals Sergio Aguero scored against Newcastle – the most a City player has scored in a single Premier League game.

7 – Longest Premier League unbeaten streak in the season.

9 – City scored more goals against Bournemouth than anyone else, hitting the back of the Cherries net nine times.

10.6km – Kelechi Iheanacho covered more ground per 90 than any City other player this season.

11 – City set a new club record for consecutive victories on 12 September with the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Brahim Diaz was at his dazzling best for Spain but the Roja Under-17s were beaten on penalties by Portugal in the Euro U17s final.

Diaz produced some mesmerising runs, turning the Portuguese defence inside out on several occasions as he produced yet another stunning showcase of his talents.
