Real stormed Group A, finishing top of the table with an impressive record of five wins and one draws from their six games.

Italian side Roma were next up in the Round of 16 and they were seen off easily with a 4-0 aggregate win.

There was a scare for Zidane’s side in the first leg of their quarter final against Wolfsburg as they German side picked up a 2-0 victory before a Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick in the second leg sent them through to the semi-finals.
