George Evans puts in another strong performance for the Saddlers, plus updates on the other youngsters out on loan.

George Evans continued his fine form for Walsall by putting in another strong performance as the Saddlers beat Bradford City 2-1.

The 20-year old came close to getting on the score sheet on a couple of occasions. First, Evans was inches away from latching on to Romaine Sawyer’s through ball before he curled a right-footed effort just past the outside of the post.

Evans will look to keep his place in the starting 11 tonight when Walsall travel to Shrewsbury in SkyBet League One and push them towards the automatic promotion places with a win.

Class win today in a very difficult game! Looking forward to Tuesday now! ⚽️⚽️

Keeping with Ligue 1 and Yaw Yeboah wasn’t involved in the match day squad for Lille as Frederic Antonetti lost against Angers in his first game in charge.

In Serie A, Olivier Ntcham made his comeback from a foot injury by appearing as a 60th minute sub for Genoa at home to Carpi.

The home side were reduced to 10 men early on before taking the lead through Diogo Figueiras but they couldn’t hold on to the three points as Carpi completed a second half comeback to take the spoils.

1,050 km north west of Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris, Enes Unal was an unused sub for Genk in their 1-0 home defeat against Gent while over in Holland, Jack Byrne had a similar fate as his Cambuur side were on the wrong side of a 3-2 defeat against De Graafschap.

Jason Denayer missed Galatasaray’s 2-2 draw with Kasimpasa after suffering an injury in the Champions League defeat at Atletico Madrid.
