City v Norwich: Opposition view

The view from the other side ahead of the Canaries' visit...

Today we spoke to Canaries fan Michelle Williams about life back in the top flight.

What are your hopes for the season?

To stay up, no two ways about it. We knew it would be a fight until May and there have been some really mixed results so far.

If you could place one Manchester City player in the Norwich team, who would it be?

David Silva is just a joy to watch and we’re lucky to have him in this league. De Bruyne hasn’t started too badly either. But as for who would make the biggest difference in our team, probably Vincent Kompany. Keeping clean sheets is essential to stay in this league, and he would make a big difference.

If you could place a past Norwich player (in his prime) in the current Norwich team, who would it be?

We need to score more goals, and few strikers from recent memory have been as exciting as Darren Huckerby (not that I need to tell you). Huckerby stretching the lines and creating space – just what we need!

Any rising stars in the Canaries ranks we should keep an eye on?

It’s easy to forget that Nathan Redmond is only 21! Most of our players are arguably in their prime, but Redmond is set up to star for the next decade.

Who is your most important player?

All of our best, creative moments seem to come from Wes Hoolahan. He has really come on in the last few seasons and is criminally underrated. One of the big questions this season would be how Nathan Redmond stepped up and he has already started getting in on the goals.

Predicted starting XI:

Ruddy

Martin

Bennett

Bassong

Brady

Redmond

Tettey

Howson

Jarvis

Hoolahan

Lafferty

Score Prediction:

MCFC 0-1 NCFC, Lafferty winner!
