Midfield duo David Silva and Yaya Toure trained for City ahead of the Champions League trip to Borussia Monchengladbach, but a number of players were missing from Tuesday morning's open session at City Football Academy.

Spanish star Silva has not featured since City's opening Group D game against Juventus with a calf problem, but has a chance of facing the Bundesliga side at Borussia-Park.

Toure was also in action following his early withdrawal against Spurs.

There were a lengthy list of absentees though, with skipper Vincent Kompany, Eliaquim Mangala, Gael Clichy, Fabian Delph, and Wilfried Bony absent from the session.

Manuel Pellegrini will deliver the team news verdict this evening at the press conference, we'll bring you all the latest from Germany.

City are looking to bounce back from their opening Group D defeat to Juventus. Monchengladbach also lost their first game, 3-0 at Sevilla.
