Hart and Milner named in England squad

City duo Joe Hart and James Milner have been named in England's squad to face Repbulic of Ireland and Slovenia in June.

Hart heads into the internationals in the form of his life after a string of sterling performances for City, while stalwart Milner, a scorer for City against Swansea last weekend, adds experience to a youthful looking stable of midfielders in Roy Hodgson's squad.

England play Repbulic of Ireland in Dublin on June 7 before a Euro 2016 qualifier against Slovenia a week later.

England are top of Group E with a 100 per cent record from their five matches so far.

Ever present Hart has conceded just one goal in those games.

England squad:

Goalkeepers: Rob Green (QPR), Joe Hart (Manchester City), Tom Heaton (Burnley).

Defenders: Ryan Bertrand (Southampton), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Nathaniel Clyne (Southampton), Kieran Gibbs (Arsenal), Phil Jagielka (Everton), Phil Jones (Manchester United), Chris Smalling (Manchester United).

Midfielders: Ross Barkley (Everton), Fabian Delph (Aston Villa), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Adam Lallana (Liverpool), Ryan Mason (Tottenham), James Milner (Manchester City), Raheem Sterling (Liverpool), Andros Townsend (Tottenham), Theo Walcott (Arsenal), Jack Wilshere (Arsenal).

Forwards: Charlie Austin (QPR), Wayne Rooney (Manchester United), Jamie Vardy (Leicester), Danny Welbeck (Arsenal).
