#Aguero100: Top ten goals gallery

??????

Sergio Aguero has reached his century of City goals after a brace in defeat against United.

The Argentinian forward has taken just 158 games to reach the milestone, the fastest ever by a City player.

You can watch his top 10 strikes here and see them in pictures below.

10) Arsenal 0-1 City, 29 November 2011

The Argentine nets the winner at the Emirates to hand City their first win at Arsenal for 36 years and more importantly, send the Blues through to the semi-finals of the Carling Cup.

It was a delightful counter-attacking goal as the visitors broke away, having defended an Arsenal corner. Edin Dzeko found Adam Johnson, who sent Aguero clear on goal and unsurprisingly, the striker made no mistake with the finish, sparking delirium in the away end.

9) Chelsea 1-2 City, 14 April 2013

It isn't often Aguero scores one with his head - but he did so in some style at Wembley in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Samir Nasri had given City the lead on 35 minutes and the second half had barely begun when Aguero doubled the advantage, rising high to plant a looping header past Petr Cech.

Chelsea pulled a goal back through Demba Ba but the Blues hung on to book their place in the final.

8) City 3-2 Bayern, 25 November 2014

A stunning performance from the Argentine kept City's Champions League hopes alive as the Blues came from behind to beat Bayern Munich.

The forward netted a penalty on 21 minutes to open the scoring before Xabi Alonso and Robert Lewandowski turned the game on its head.

As the game entered its final minutes, it looked as though the hosts would be heading for defeat - only for Aguero to net twice to secure a famous win.

7) City 4-0 Swansea, 15 August 2011

Aguero opened his City account from the bench in a 4-0 demolition of Swansea.

Within minutes of taking to the pitch, he netted his first of the night, tapping in at the back post, before doubling his tally in injury time with a rocket from 25 yards.

6) Tottenham 1-5 City, 29 January 2014

Another memorable victory at White Hart Lane sparked into life on 15 minutes with yet another sublime Aguero strike.

Extending his scoring streak to eight games, the striker latched onto David Silva's fine pass and found the perfect finish to break the deadlock and open the floodgates.

5) Norwich 1-6 City, 14 April 2012

The demolition at Carrow Road is mostly remembered for Carlos Tevez's hat-trick but compatriot Aguero also sparkled in sky blue that day.

Aguero's two goals were simply glorious - the first a powerful half-volley and the second a wonderful, curling individual effort.

A thoroughly enjoyable day all round!

4) Chelsea 2-1 City, 27 October 2013

Although the result did not go quite as planned at Stamford Bridge, nothing could be taken away from the fantastic strike that levelled the scores.

The highlight of an otherwise disappointing day, the Argentine did well to stay onside before unleashing a bullet into the top corner at the near post, without even looking at the goal!

3) United 1-2 City, 8 April 2013

With eight goals in eight Manchester derbies, Aguero enjoys facing United - and he certainly took pleasure from scoring against them in this game.

A demonstration of pace, power and unerring accuracy, the striker left the Reds defence for dead before firing an effort beyond David de Gea to give City a second successive victory at Old Trafford.

2) City 2-2 Liverpool, 3 February 2013

Another piece of individual brilliance salvaged a point for City against Liverpool.

Trailing 2-1 at home with 12 minutes remaining, it looked as though Steven Gerrard's long-range strike had won it for the visitors.

However, Aguero showed desire and incredible precision to beat Pepe Reina to the ball out wide before somehow looping the ball into the back of the net from what seemed an impossible angle.

1) City 3-2 QPR, 13 May 2012

No need to explain this one but let's do it anyway... arguably the most important goal in City's history belongs to Aguero.

With City needing a win against relegation-threatened Queens Park Rangers to secure a first Premier League title, all appeared to be going to plan when Pablo Zabaleta opened the scoring.

However, goals from Djibril Cisse and Jamie Mackie gave the away side an unlikely lead in the second half, leaving City with a mountain to climb.

Neighbours United were winning at Sunderland, which meant Dzeko's injury time equaliser would count for nothing unless the hosts could find a winner.

Seconds after the full-time whistle blew at the Stadium of Light, Aguero collected Mario Balotelli's assist before taking a touch and smashing the ball past Paddy Kenny to win the game for City and clinch a first title in 44 years.
