City host United in FA Cup third round

City will kick off the defence of the FA Cup with Budweiser against neighbours United at the Etihad Stadium.

The tie will take place on the weekend of 6/7/8 January.

Full date and ticket details will be announced following the selection of the televised games. The Blues defeated the Reds in last year's semi final and recently won 6-1 at Old Trafford. Draw is:

Middlesbrough v Shrewsbury, Nottingham Forest v Leicester, Manchester City v Manchester United, Dagenham & Redbridge or Walsall v Millwall, Crawley v Bristol City, Doncaster v Sutton Utd or Notts County, Bristol Rovers v Aston Villa.
