Sven-Goran Eriksson has confirmed that Rolando Bianchi will start his first game for City tonight.

The Blues play Orgryte IS at Paskbergsvallen, Varberg at 7.00pm local time in the first match of their pre-season tour of Sweden.

Sven says: “Rolando will start the game, he has already impressed me having started his pre-season a little bit later than everyone-else, but he almost wants to play too much!

“He has a very good attitude towards training and I’m confident that he will do well.”

The 24-year-old striker completed his move to City from Serie A club Reggina last Friday and watched Saturday’s win over Doncaster Rovers from the sidelines.

The squad have also been bolstered by the arrival in Sweden of another of the week’s signings, Swiss midfielder Gelson Fernandes, who has joined the club from FC Sion.

New signing Rolando Bianchi will partner Emile Mpenza in City's forward line for the friendly against Örgyte IS in Varberg, Sweden, tonight. There's a youthful look to the side, with the versatile Shaleum Logan playing on the right side of midfield, while Gelson Fernandes will, like Bianchi, pull on a City shirt for the first time when he plays alongside Michael Johnson.
