City's Under-21s are on their way home after losing to Rangers and Aston Villa in the Hong Kong 7s.

City, with the youngest squad in the competition, went down 3-1 to Glasgow Rangers after conceding two late goals. Jack Byrne had pegged the Blues level but the Ibrox side came back strongly.

City then faced Aston Villa in the 3rd and 4th place play-off and led 1-0 thanks to a James Hardy goal but Villa fought back and grabbed a last-gasp winner to send the Blues crashing out.

The trip has proved an excellent experience for the young City squad and a highlights package will be available on mcfc.co.uk on the next few days.
