Manchester City’s new sustainable initiative will be in operation again for Saturday’s home game against Crystal Palace.

The Club has enhanced the walking route to the Etihad Stadium which has been developed with the aim of encouraging supporters to consider alternative forms of transport on matchday.

Having worked closely with Manchester City Council, the improved designated walking route from the city centre to the Etihad was relaunched with a special sustainable walk to the match before the Everton game on New Year's Day.

For the Palace game the meeting point for our Walk to the Match will be on Pollard Street on the grass opposite the Ibis at 1.45pm.

Saturday’s Walk to the Match will be led by the New York Brass marching band. There will again be face painters to help you get your game face on along with flag bearers.

Supporters will also be able to grab a blue Manchester City lantern though there are a limited number of these so fans should get down early to make sure they get one.

Those wishing to take the route can download the map here.

So why not give it a go if you’ve not tried it before and make your way to the Etihad while helping the environment?
