After successful Hackathons in 2016 and 2017, City Football Group is debuting a new global opportunity for startup companies to help transform the matchday experience by showcasing how they can solve five big challenges identified by City’s global network of football clubs.
Supported by a squad of exciting collaboration partners, including Sapphire Ventures who, with City Football Group, jointly launched a first-of-its-kind $115m sport venture fund and the UK Government’s Department for International Trade, City are offering a unique opportunity for startups to accelerate their growth.
Whether you’re in the sports sector or not, if your startup believes it has a cutting-edge solution to one or more of our challenges we’d like to hear from you.
Shortlisted companies will be invited to join City Football executives in Manchester in June to participate in an exciting week of accelerated project planning. The best performing startups will then be funded to launch a short-term pilot test of their solution.
This exciting opportunity is available to early-stage startups from around the world.
To apply for the City Startup Challenge, please visit www.cityfootballgroup.com/startup/ and complete the application form before Midnight on Sunday 31 March.
