Sunday marked a special landmark occasion as Manchester City’s Official Supporters Club marked its 70th anniversary with a special celebration dinner at Manchester Central.

More than 500 Official Supporters Club members gathered in the city centre to help mark the milestone with a host of notable guests also in attendance.

Following a celebratory dinner, guests then listened to a special Question and Answer session with former players Nicky Weaver and Paul Dickov.

Amongst the other notable attendees also helping join in the Official Supporters Club 70th birthday celebrations were former captain and manager Tony Book together with fellow former boss Brian Horton.

Several stellar former players were also present to help mark the celebrations, including Mike Summerbee, Dennis Tueart, Paul Lake and Alex Williams.

Other events during the evening included both a traditional and silent auction, with all proceeds from the auctions going to City in the Community.
