Alex was commissioned in November 2018 and after over 1,500 hours of painstaking work it is finally finished – and you can pre-order it today!
The design is all down to Alex, but he worked closely with club staff, noted Manchester football historian Gary James and you, the fans, to help make sure everything is covered.
After reaching out to fans on social media and via our Cityzens platform, he received hundreds of suggestions from fans eager to see their favourite player or moment captured in the artwork. We even managed to squeeze one lucky Cityzen into the piece, plus matchday flags, and some famous faces and places associated with Manchester City.
Going all the way back to our registration as a club by Joshua Parlby and finishing with the recent signing of Rodrigo, the Manchester City mishmash covers hundreds of moments from the club’s history both on and off the pitch.

Some of those etched into City folklore have spotted themselves in the artwork, including former Blues forward Paul Dickov, famous for THAT play-off final equaliser back in 1999.
He said of the mishmash: “This is probably one of the most amazing pieces of sport art that I’ve seen. So many things to look at, so many memories coming back and not just from when I played.
“The history of the club is all in one picture and to be able to be a part of it is just amazing.”
The poster is exclusively available through our city store and is available to pre order now and will be available to buy in store next Thursday.
