Manchester City has announced a global multi-year partnership with Acronis to become the Club’s Official Data Backup and Storage Partner.

Acronis, a leader in the technology industry, will work with the Club to enhance and develop its data storage capabilities. 

Founded in Singapore in 2003 and incorporated in Switzerland in 2008, Acronis is renowned for its innovative hybrid cloud storage and enterprise file sync and share solutions, as well as award-winning use of AI technology, and Acronis works with five million consumers and more than 500,000 businesses in 145 countries. 

Damian Willoughby, Senior Vice President of Partnership at City Football Group, said: “We are delighted to announce this new partnership with Acronis.

“A football club like Manchester City has a huge volume of data – covering everything from our players and fans to the day to day operation of our business – and we are excited to leverage Acronis’ expertise to enhance our data storage and backup functions.

As part of the partnership agreement, Manchester City will explore opportunities to work with the Acronis Foundation.

The foundation provides equitable education around the world through building schools in developing countries.

Details of how Manchester City and the Acronis Foundation will work together will be announced as the partnership progresses.
