Hundreds of young footballers from more than 75 nationalities have been enjoying the fantastic British summer at the City Football Academy in July.

More than 850 players aged eight to 17 are taking part, and last week lucky youngsters met first team stars and had their photographs taken with the Premier League and Carabao Cup trophies.

Girls from the City Football Performance Program had Q&A sessions with Man City Women players Demi Stokes and Nikita Parris giving them insights into their pathways to play professionally and life as a Man City Women’s player.

There are three different courses; City Football Language School, City Football Performance Programme and City Football Development Programme.

City Football Language School

Now in its fourth year of delivery, the City Football Language School has been developed with accredited language educators British Study Centres.

The course combines English language learning with football coaching in an immersive and interactive environment.

A unique ‘football language’ syllabus focuses on improving communication skills, learning about language in various football professions and developing confidence both on and off the pitch.

City Football Performance Program

With sessions taking place around the CFA and in the Manchester Institute of Health & Performance, this intensive program gives dedicated players aged 12-17 years an insight into how they can take their game to the next level.

Through the delivery of performance workshops, physical testing, online reflection and tactical training sessions, players are provided with an authentic experience of how City players train to compete at the highest level.

City Football Development Program

New for 2018, the Development Program has been designed to provide younger players aged eight-11 years with their first taste of how Academy players develop their skills and game understanding.

Sessions focus on playing games, with maximum touches on the ball, all in a positive, fun learning environment.

A limited number of places still available on Performance and Development programs in August.
