Manchester City will return to the United States this summer to prepare for the new Premier League season.
New York City is set to host one of the matches, with further destinations and opponents to be announced in the coming weeks.
Benjamin Mendy travelled to the Big Apple, where, alongside announcing the upcoming tour, he surprised a number of local fans at an event at the top of the iconic Rockefeller Centre.
“It’s been amazing to come to New York City to announce the tour and give some local fans a real surprise,” said the defender.
“The soccer fans in the United States are so passionate about the game and it’s always a pleasure to visit here.
“When I go back to Manchester and tell the players about my trip I know they will be really excited to come here in the summer.
“We can’t wait to play in front of our US fans again.”
The tour preceded a fine start to the current campaign, with Guardiola’s men currently 15 points clear at the top of the Premier League, with a Carabao Cup final to look forward to, whilst also having reached the FA Cup fifth round and the knockout stages of the Champions League.
