Following the acquisition of former World Champion Kai ‘deto’ Wollin in March 2018, Shellzz becomes City’s second esports signing of the year, and the first in FIFA 19.
Just 19 years old, PS4 specialist Shellzz burst onto the competitive FIFA scene some two years ago, reaching the semi-finals at his first event, the FIFA 17 FUT Champions Paris Regional.
Months later, Shellzz went one step further at the FUT Champions Championship Finals, stunning the FIFA world as he stormed all the way to cross-console final, finishing tournament runner-up in his first major.
“I am really happy and excited to be joining such an incredible club,” Shellzz said. “Manchester City’s ambition is clear both on the football pitch and virtual pitch. It’s really exciting to have signed for them and an honour to now represent them in tournaments around the world.
“I’ve been to visit the City Football Academy in Manchester and the facilities are fantastic. I can’t wait to get started and play in the famous City blue
Shellzz will represent City for the first time in the upcoming ePremier League qualifications. He will play against Cityzens from around the UK for the chance to represent Manchester City at the ePremier League final next March.
