Manchester City welcome new UBTECH robots

NEW SIGNING: The UBTECH Alpha 2 robot.

NEW SIGNING: The UBTECH Alpha 2 robot.

You’ve seen them dance, race and play football and now the UBTECH robots are back with a new signing for Manchester City.

Following the success of the UBTECH Alpha 1 our Official Robot Partner has unveiled their newest creation, the Alpha 2.

This latest offering will continue to combine brilliant entertainment and ground-breaking technology, as UBTECH provide fans with unique content and experiences.

And this time, the robots are blue through and through.

Be prepared to be amazed by the Alpha 2’s knowledge of all things City as it has been programmed with an encyclopaedia of the Club’s history and therefore knows all about the success and players from both the past and present day.

Furthermore, cutting edge technology provides these humanoid robots with face and voice detection and recognition, meaning that when the Alpha 2s meets City players, they’ll know just who they’re talking to!

Manchester City’s partnership with UBTECH Robotics is a first of its kind, combining pioneering robotics technology and sport.

So far, we’ve seen these robots challenge the likes of Willy Caballero, Fernandinho and Yaya Toure, and they’ve also showcased their talents on matchdays at the Etihad Stadium.

With the launch of the Alpha 2, we look forward to continuing to bring the excitement of intelligent robots and beautiful football together for fans to enjoy.
