The 2017 instalment of the fans’ dinner saw a host of famous and much-loved City faces gather at the Etihad Stadium as the whole Club came together to raise more than £15,000 for City in the Community.
In guest of honour Paul Dickov, Supporters’ Club Life President Tony Book, Club Ambassador Mike Summerbee and CITC Ambassador Alex Williams MBE, fans enjoyed the company of four names forever etched in the Club’s history.
However, the list of City stars did not end there and the addition of two more Blues further ensured hundreds of supporters enjoyed an evening to remember.
Joining the legends were none other than Pep Guardiola and Manchester City Women’s Karen Bardsley, while City Football Group CEO, Ferran Soriano, was also part of the celebrations.
Bringing together the whole City family, members of staff from across the Club joined fans at the event, which was organised by Supporters Club General Secretary, Kevin Parker and Social Secretary, Christine Wardle.
The Club is proud to support this yearly get together and was delighted Guardiola and Bardsley were there to make the most recent dinner extra special.
With more than 30 branches in attendance – including one which had travelled all the way from Scandinavia – Sky Sports News’ presenter and City fan Mike Wedderburn led the proceedings as supporters had the opportunity to pitch their burning questions to the special guests.
There were memories to take away, too, with a host of auction and raffle prizes offering fans the chance to get their hands on some money can’t buy experiences, all in the name of charity.
Contributing to the fantastic £15,000 total raised for City in the Community, two lucky Blues successfully bid for the chance to watch First Team training at the CFA, while Chairman’s lounge tickets and a number pieces of signed memorabilia were also auctioned off.
For Kevin Parker, it was yet another memorable night for the Official Supporters' Club and he was particularly pleased to see City stars past and present play their part in the event.
"We enjoyed another great evening at the Etihad Stadium for the Supporters' Club annual dinner," he said.
"We would like to thank all involved for making the evening a success and for helping to raise more than £15,000 for City in the Community.
"Special thanks must go to our guests Pep Guardiola, Karen Bardsley, Paul Dickov, Mike Summerbee, Alex Williams and Life President Tony Book, who helped make it a night many will remember for a long, long time."
