Manchester City has agreed a new multi-year deal which will see EA SPORTS remain as the Club’s Official Gaming Partner.
The renewal continues a successful five year partnership with the leading video game developer and will allow City fans around the world to enjoy new and exclusive content across the Club’s digital platforms.
This kicks off at 10am on Thursday 29 September, as City host a gaming session with recent eSports signing Kieran ‘Kez’ Brown live on Facebook.
To celebrate the new deal and to coincide with the release of FIFA 17, Kieran will delve deep into the archives to test his skills across the back catalogue of FIFA games, beginning with the inaugural FIFA 94 and ending with EA SPORTS’ latest release.
Not just confined to Facebook, the sports game company now also supports the Blues' official Snapchat account and is the proud sponsor of the Man of the Match award.
Damian Willoughby, SVP of Partnerships, City Football Group, is delighted to have renewed the partnership with a brand that shares the Club's commitment to fan engagement.
Commenting on the deal, he said: “At Manchester City we are incredibly proud of the partnership we have built with EA SPORTS over the last five years.
“We both seek to challenge ourselves year in and year out to ensure our fans have more opportunities to engage with the Club and the game they love.
“Extending our partnership means we can continue to work together to provide supporters with unforgettable memories and can’t miss experiences that combine the best of football on and off the pitch.”
City's players have joined fans in benefiting from the renewal as Pep Guardiola's squad were among the lucky few to get their hands on a copy of EA SPORTS FIFA 17 on Tuesday.
Released today, the latest instalment of the popular game, includes new features that give you even greater control over your club's season, the option to compete in the J-League, and authentic Premier League managers roaming the side line.
