Seasoncard holder Graham Elliott was picked out from thousands of entries as the lucky winner of the hugely popular annual prize draw from the Club’s official membership scheme.
Ran in conjunction with Official Club Partner, Etihad Airways, Glossop native Graham won an unforgettable four night trip for two, which includes Grandstand passes for the weekend’s racing at Yas Marina, as well as flights and accommodation.
A delighted Graham – who comes from a family of Blues – reacted with the disbelief that has become commonplace at the reveal of this yearly once in a lifetime prize.
“I almost didn’t answer the call because it was an unknown number and even when I did I thought it was a wind-up,” he told mancity.com.
“It wasn’t until Lee mentioned the prize that I believed it as I remembered entering on every account I could. Mine, my son's and daughter's – everyone!”
As the Cityzens team know only too well, winning is the easy part – it’s picking someone to accompany you in that all important plus-one spot that’s difficult.
For Graham this was the perfect opportunity to deliver on a promise he made to his wife, Hilary.
“We were in the UAE this time last year celebrating my 60th and we didn’t get the chance to see all the sights, so we promised each other we’d go back,” he explained.
“But we didn’t expect it would be courtesy of the Club!”
Graham will fly out on Thursday 24 November to enjoy the glitz and glamour of Formula One’s final weekend, which Cityzens Membership Executive, Lee Kenny is proud to be able to offer to the Club’s followers.
