City Square is signing out of 2016 in style, with a bumper line up at the final home game of the year against Arsenal.
An unmissable pre-match warm-up sees former Blues Ali Bernabia, Paul Dickov and Steve Lomas join us for chat and we’ll also have rock royalty in the form of Status Quo on stage too.
Legends of the music industry and much admired by our very own Pablo Zabaleta, Quo will be telling us all about their love for the beautiful game and sharing their stories from a career which has seen them chart more than 60 UK singles.
To our football guests now and fans are in for a treat with former crowd favourite Bernabia making an appearance.
Sure to receive a brilliant reception, the Algerian playmaker wowed the crowd for two seasons at the start of the millennium and he’ll be giving his verdict on how the latest incumbents of the famous Blue shirt will get on during the rest of the season.
Plus, as a Ligue 1 winner with AS Monaco, Ali will also give us his insight as to how the games might pan out when two of his former Clubs meet in the Champions League.
Bernabia’s old teammate – City legend Paul Dickov – is also set for the City Square stage on Sunday. He’ll be chatting to CityTV’s Nicola McCarthy as they cast an eye over Betsafe’s odds for anyone who fancies a flutter on the game.
Steve Lomas completes this week’s football guests as he takes the hot seat for Sunday’s talking points. The former midfield man will sit down with Ali Mann to pick through a subject of the fans choosing and you can vote now on Twitter.
Complimenting this stellar line up is none other than Hollywood actor Andy Serkis, who is best known for his performance as Golem in the Lord of the Rings franchise.
With his latest film, Star Wars: Episode VIII, out now and several more in production, we’ll get the latest update on his career and he’ll also be offering his pre-match predictions.
Meanwhile, we have two performances for you to enjoy this weekend. Hailed as one of the UK’s finest Blues players and with Jools Holland’s backing, Tom Seals will be playing a few tunes for us before kick off.
He’s complimented by comedian Chris Turner who’ll be delivering some improvised rap that’s sure to involve the fans.
And if that’s not enough, our festive theme continues and this week we have penguins all the way from the North Pole to help our Blue Santa in his grotto.
Don’t forget to follow City Square on Twitter and see you tomorrow!
