‘Played for both’ is the theme of this week’s City Square as we welcome three guests who turned out for both the Blues and the Hammers during their career.
They’ll be joined by the GB basketball team and the usual musical accompaniment for an eclectic mix of entertainment ahead of City v West Ham.
Ian Bishop and Steve Lomas are two of the men to have plied their trade in East London and East Manchester and they’ll be on stage together to discuss City’s Champions League group as well as their chances domestically.
The two former midfielders should have a unique knowledge of both clubs and we’ll be putting this to the test, so if you’ve got a burning question you’ve always wanted to ask make sure you’re in City Square before kick off.
Trevor Sinclair completes our trio of former Blues and Hammers. The ex-England international will be on stage with City legend Paul Dickov and Sky Sports pundit Alan McInally, who is guest-presenting a preview of the game in conjunction with our partners, Betsafe.
We’ll be calling on the expertise of Dickov and Sinclair as they consider the potential talking points and if you fancy a flutter, the boys will also be sharing some great offers and live odds.
From grass and goal posts to hardwood and hoops. The GB basketball team and Manchester Giants will be teaming up to wow us with their skills and there’s a chance for fans to join in. Get involved and you could upgrade your tickets for a spot in hospitality.
We’re delighted to introduce a local group from the City Square stage this week, as Manchester trio Prose perform their mix of organic-acoustic-hip-hop tracks. The winners of the CityLife Award for Best Breakthrough Artist of 2015, expect them to get toes tapping in the Square!
There’s plenty going on at West Reception, too. We’ll hear from local lad and WBO Lightweight champion Terry Flanagan, as well as fellow Mancunian, the undefeated middleweight Marcus Morrison.
Joe Corrigan and Peter Barnes will also be on hand to share their thoughts ahead of the game so head over to West Reception or fix your eyes on the big screens when these two City legends appear.
Plus, they’ll be plenty of opportunities to get your hands on some City prizes, so make sure you arrive at the Eithad in plenty of time to join all the fun.
