Two men who know what it takes to wear the Blue shirt are Kevin Horlock and Jon Macken and they’ll be joining us on stage before kick-off.
A City stalwart of over 200 appearances, midfielder Horlock became something of a cult hero as he helped Joe Royle’s Blues to back to back promotions from Division 2 to the Premier League.
Forward Macken spent three seasons at the Club between 2002 and 2005 and secured his space in City folklore when he netted the winner in the 4-3 win against Spurs in 2004.
Both men will be sharing their thoughts on the current crop's European credentials, starting with their prediction for the Steaua game.
City of course have two Champions League representatives this season, as MCWFC will compete in this year’s Women’s competition for the first time in their history.
Manager Nick Cushing will be joined by midfielder Jill Scott and FA WSL top scorer Jane Ross to discuss their maiden European season, which begins in October.
Domestically, the top of the table Man City Women are preparing for a Continental Cup semi-final and a title run-in and we’ll also here from the trio about their impressive form this season.
As always, music will play its part in getting us in the mood for the evening’s action. This week it’s the turn of Liverpool-based Hicari, a multicultural 5-piece-pop group who’ll be performing their synth-pop inspired tracks for us.
There’s more ex-Blues over at West Reception too, as Ian Brightwell and Richard Edgehill join us to give their thoughts on what we can expect from Pep Guardiola’s team tonight.
Plus, they’ll be plenty of opportunities to get your hands on some City prizes, so make sure you arrive at the Eithad in plenty of time to join all the fun.
