It’s set to be an unmissable night of football at the Etihad Stadium and the same applies to City Square, which is the place to be before the big game.
We’ll be joined by City stars of the past and future and in honour of the opposition, there’s a French feel to the pre-match entertainment.
Following last Wednesday’s 2-2 draw, it’s all to play for in the second leg and we’ll be asking two former Blues how Manuel Pellegrini’s men should approach the game.
A clean sheet would certainly make life easier and we’ll be getting the prediction of ex-shot stopper Andy Dibble. A Welsh international, Andy turned out over 100 times for City between 1988 and 1997.
Our second guest will be more interested in the action at the opposite end of the pitch and with Sergio Aguero and Zlatan Ibrahimovic on display, there’s plenty for us to chat to Darius Vassell about. We’ll get his reaction to the team news and the former England international will be telling us how he expects the game to unfold.
To the stars of the future now and with a second consecutive FA Youth Cup Final on the horizon, we’ll be joined by two of Jason Wilcox’s U18s squad. The young Blues sealed a final spot with a 4-3 aggregate victory over Arsenal to line up a repeat of last year’s showpiece against Chelsea.
They’ll be hoping to go one better last time and lift the trophy and we’ll get their thoughts and find out how they’re preparing ahead of the crucial game.
As always, the football frenzy will be dovetailed by the City Square musical express and this week one of our bands has made quite a journey.
Joining PSG in the trip across the Channel are Angeline, a great live band who’ll keep you entertained before kick off.
Our second act haven’t travelled quite as far. Liberty Ship are a four-piece rock band from Sheffield but are making quite an impact on Manchester’s music scene. Take a listen to their latest track and to get you in the mood for tonight’s performance.
With the tie finely balanced and a record Champions League crowd at the Etihad, the twelfth men could make all the difference in the Stadium. You can also show your support beforehand at our Gazprom Fan Cube, where Blues can record their good luck messages before kick off.
Plus, any Cityzens heading to the Square should make sure they visit our Cityzens booth – located by the expansion hub – where they can scan their card to gain 15 City Points.
In addition to all of the above, we’ll also enjoy all the usual fun including EA tournaments and giveaways!
We’re set for a special night and it all starts at City Square- see you there!
