That's all for today đź‘‹

Thank you for joining me this afternoon! It was great to be back watching the WSL Champions but also to have you all back at the Joie too.

What a great way to open the season and we can't wait to welcome you again for Liverpool, but for now enjoy the victory and have a wonderful rest of your weekend.

On Mary Fowler's performance...

"I think Mary is an x-factor as long as she is working around the penalty area she can shoot with her right or left foot.

"She’s very good around that, so we’re getting something from her and I’m very pleased for her."

On the difference between the first and second half

"It’s more of a mentality of we were expecting somebody else to pass and putting each other in difficult situations, we were not all the time committed to all, we get a cross in, where is the eager to score, so I missed that a little bit in the first half."

Andrée Jeglertz speaking after the game 🗣️

"I think it’s great, it’s about winning. And also the performance in the second half was really good.

"We were creating a lot of scoring chances in the whole game and that is amazing.

"I think our second half we saw a big difference to our first half. I think the first half was not as good as we expected or wanted so I'm happy with that.

Winning ways

There's no better way to start our title defence than picking up three points in front of the City faithful.
