THAT'S ALL FOLKS 👋

That's all from our live updates here at the Joie Stadium after a dramatic 1-0 win for City over Liverpool this afternoon.

The Blues are in touching distance of the WSL title now, but our attitude will remain the same to seal the crown. It's FA Cup matters next week with Jeglertz's team travelling to Chelsea in the semi-final on Sunday 10 May at 15:30 (UK).

We'll see you there, Blues. Thank you for your amazing support 💙

JEGLERTZ'S FINAL WORDS 🗣️

"There's no doubt about that [the team's fight]. I'm really proud of that attitude, but the players showed that all year, so I'm not surprised."

JEGLERTZ ON KNAAK 🗣️

"I'm so happy for her. She was struggling with her shoulder for almost all of the game. But also she really wanted to do this and help the team the whole game. I'm so happy she's the one scoring."

MORE FROM JEGLERTZ 🗣️

"It's difficult because the expectation is very high of the group and we always in these games, expect to dominate the game. The first half was a struggle, so of course, we were in a situation where we needed to fix a couple of things which we did at half-time and got a totally different team coming out with some new energy. That's why we used half-time in a good way."

JEGLERTZ REACTION 🗣️

"I got five years older, today! We said to the players afterwards, also, that it shows something about the group. No matter if we struggle in parts of the game, and not really creating that many chances, in the first half, in the second half we do. We have some challenging parts in the game. But the belief is still there and they keep pushing and finding a way to win. It's amazing, in this group, and it's only because on believing in what we're doing. They believe in each other and what're doing every week. That's why we win the game."

SQUAD GOALS 💙

KNAAK TO SKY SPORTS 🗣️

"As you can tell, it's all the emotions. We deserved it so much today. We worked so hard.

"It wasn't an easy game at all but at this time of the year, to win this game, I'm very proud of the team.

"It was tough but we knew if we continued with our game plan and continued to play that we're good enough to score. It paid off in the end, very late. We just had to keep going."

FT

HEMP TO SKY SPORTS 🗣️

"Liverpool were very good, they caused us a lot of problems, especially at the start. It's so hard to compose yourself when a goal like that goes in.

"We were pushing in the second half, we took the level up massively, we were creating so many chances and in the end, we deserved it.

"We've worked so hard this season and moments like that make it worth it. Obviously we've still got more to go, we've still got a game next week to get us into a final and the pressure gets piled up but this team is incredible and I'm so pleased to be part of it."

On what result gives City: "It gives us confidence going into the next game. We wanted to make a statement in the league today because we were so frustrated with last week's performance.

"We've been working hard all week and it's what this group deserves. Now we can sit back and watch a few games unfold."
