THANK YOU

That's all from Goodison Park as City moved to the WSL's summit with a hard-fought win!

It represents our seventh straight league victory and we had to work for every part of the three points this afternoon.

Thank you, as ever, for following the match on our MDC and we'll catch you next week for the Manchester derby at the Etihad!

JEGLERTZ REACTION

Our head coach told BBC Sport: "It's very important for us to win. Not a perfect game, definitely not, but in the same way it says something about the team that we managed to win it anyway. These games where you don't play the most beautiful game but still continue winning, that is going to give you the opportunity to have a good result at the end of the season.

"Everton was causing a lot of problems for us. We were struggling figuring out their loading in the midifield, they created overloads in there and we did not manage with them well enough. In the other way we managed to keep the victory anyway so I am happy with that."

BUNNY REACTION

Speaking to BBC Sport, Shaw said: "To be fair it was a very difficult game. Everton made it very difficult and we made it difficult for ourselves, that's the way we've been going all season. The difference I think is that we just tried to get the job done because at the end of the day the three points is all that matters and we grind out the win. Definitely happy."
