That's all for today 👋

Thank you for joining me this afternoon!

Sadly we leave Bromley with no points, but we continue to sit nine clear at the league summit ahead of Chelsea and Arsenal's upcoming games against Everton and Leicester respectively.

Despite those results, City's WSL title prospects remain in our own hands, although the race for the top spot will now likely go down to the final day against West Ham.

All eyes now move to the hotly anticipated game against Liverpool on Sunday 3 May in front of a sell-out crowd at the Joie Stadium, with kick-off set for 12:00 (UK).

We look forward to enjoying your company once again!

Jeglertz on looking forward to Liverpool next week

"It's up to us.

"I'm not worried about that.

"I'm fully aware that all the players really want to win and they are really putting a lot of energy into getting the results we want.

"Sometimes we don't score our chances and sometimes they score on their chances and that's how it is in this league.

"But for us we just need to turn it around in a good way and then full focus on Liverpool."

Jeglertz on the result 🗣️

"Our first-half we created so many chances that we should do a bit better with in the finishing phase and it's tough.

"Brighton came out and scored a couple goals and that caused a bit of stress for us in the second-half, so it's more like a stressful game in the second-half, but for us the most important thing is that we're learning from this, that we're making sure each action counts so much.

"If you make some mistakes and you think someone else is doing something for you then we will be punished and that will happen against Brighton.

"I'm not worried about that, I'm just worried that we're learning in the right way and fully focusing on the coming week for Liverpool."

Alex Greenwood: 'our focus is now on Liverpool'

"This is football. This is a test for us of our character of who we are, what we're made of.

"We've worked super, super hard all season for moments like this and it will test us this week, but what we've got in our locker room and our mentality we've just got to step up.

"I have no doubt this team will and I don't say that in an arrogant way I say that in a confident way.

"We'll review the game, the parts that were good and the parts we can improve on and we'll get to the Joie Stadium next week in front of our sell-out crowd and put on a performance."

Alex Greenwood reaction 🗣️

"We concede goals either side of half-time at really difficult times and that's something we have to look at.

"I think we played really well in the first-half and created some really good chances.

"We probably should've been a bit further ahead than we were, again that's football, we have to do our job and keep the clean sheet.

"Those two goals either side of half-time really killed us, but then we have to pick up momentum and make sure they don't concede that third goal when we did, then it's a challenge and we knew then it was going to be tough.

"You can't knock the fight from the team, that's never in doubt with us.

"The positive side is things are still in our hands and while that's the case I'm super positive.

"Today I'm super disappointed and I'm angry and I'm frustrated, but best believe by tomorrow I'll be looking forward to next Sunday."
