Goodbye 👋

Thank you as always for your company this afternoon!

We gave it everything but ultimately came up short against Arsenal.

Still, we remain top of the table and can put things right on Friday against Leicester. Thank you as always for your company, and hopefully see you at the Joie Stadium in five days' time!

More from our Head Coach

"I think in the last ten or 15 minutes, even though we struggled in the game, we still gave ourselves a chance. That's a positive, when you have games where you're not at your highest level but you still create some scoring chances. We saw that in the second half.

"I'm not worried at all, there's no doubt that we'll bounce back. The players gave everything at the end but we know the rest of the league will be tough, so we need to handle that in a  good way, then we'll be fine."

Jeglertz's reaction

I think we had some struggle of sorting out their attack because I think they played through us a little bit too easy.

It was better in the second half but they were on a good level today and we weren't really there for some reason. We were a little bit late in some situations and then you'll be challenged and exposed by a team like Arsenal.

More from Kerstin

"We just need to be positive and switch onto the next game. Each game's different, we had a great one last weekend and this weekend we lose.

"That's part of the game, and the beautiful part of it as well.

"We have to stick to our goal, be comfortable with being uncomfortable sometimes and not let this rattle us going into next week."

Kerstin Casparij reaction

"It's only our second loss of the season which is really tough. Arsenal did a good job exposing us in certain areas.

"We struggled especially in the first half, did better in the second half but these games are part of the job as well.

"We have a quick turnaround to Friday so we'll get home, watch it back tomorrow and then onto Friday."

Sam Coffey's second half display was a huge positive for City!
