THAT'S ALL FOLKS

Thanks, as ever, for following the match here on our MDC. Your support never goes unnoticed and as we sign off from 2024, we'd like to thank you for you unwavering commitment in backing this team.

We'll return in the new year where we'll also enter the League and FA Cup while also battling for WSL and Champions League glory.

Plenty to look forward to.

LAIA ALEIXANDRI REACTION 🗣

"It was very tough to play against them, but we’re very proud of the effort we put into this game."

GARETH TAYLOR REACTION 🗣

“Barcelona were really impressive, they pressed and came after us in a similar way we did to them at the Joie Stadium in October.

“The effort from the girls was top class, they worked so hard. We got some things wrong but never stopped in our pursuit of trying to get onto the front foot. Both win and without the ball.”

A FINAL LOOK AT GROUP D 📋

Although we were just unable to secure top spot tonight, it's certainly been a group stage to be proud of with moments that will live long in the memory.

QUARTER-FINALS

As we finished runners-up in Group D, we will face one of Lyon, Chelsea, Bayern Munich or Arsenal in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. The last-eight ties will take place in March.

💙

A defeat to the reigning European champions, but a valiant effort from a threadbare City squad who were missing key players tonight. We can certainly hold our heads up high after tonight as we sign off from 2024.
