Goodbye👋

Thank you as always for your company this afternoon.

It's a bitter pill to swallow with City battling so hard until the end, but the team will move on quickly from this ahead of a huge Champions League second leg at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night.

Until then, keep across mancity.com and the official Man City app for plenty of post-match reaction.

Cushing on next Thursday's approach

"I think for us we have to attack it. Today, Wednesday and the League Cup Final, we've shown we can create chances, attack them and score goals.

"A goal for us changes the dynamic, and it does for them. We have to believe we can attack them and create chances with Mary Fowler, Viv [Miedema], Kerolin.

"We’re missing key players but have some exciting attacking players we can use."

Cushing on Yamashita and Blindkilde Brown fitness

[On Yamashita]

"A couple of weeks minimum, not ideal but she won't make the game on Thursday."

[On Blindkilde Brown]

"She’s got the boot on, so if you have that and you're on crutches it says you probably won't make a game this season.

"It's her ankle, it was unfortunate in training, almost a movement but its ligaments."

17:05

Cushing on Keating's performance

"Yeah, [she was] top.

"I came in about ten days, two weeks ago and we stuck with [Ayaka] Yama[shita] because she was in the team, but then got injured.

"Khiara showed she has more than enough ability to be number one."

17:03

Cushing on City's disallowed goal

"The officials admit they got it wrong and should have played on.

"The frustrating thing is after the Coombs foul earlier on, because we were so dangerous on the counter attack when the whistle was blown on Coombs I asked her to play advantage.

"But three minutes later, it happens."

17:01

Cushing on the result

"Yeah, we played really well first half and dominated, probably should've scored more. We should've been two up with the disallowed goal but it is what it is.

"Second half, not ideal to shuffle the pack and find solutions for key players but I'm really proud of the performance, how we soaked up pressure individually and stepped up but it was too much at the end."

Khiara Keating speaking to BBC Sport 🗣

"I think you always come into these games wanting to win and do your part for the team. We held on for so long but I’m proud of the team and our performance. Obviously we know the outcome, no points from this but the mindset doesn’t change, we still aim for the Champions League.

"It’s a tough one to take, we have to focus on the Champions League now and get into the semis, we didn’t get the three points so onto the next. I think we’re halfway there, we know it’ll be tough and take everyone, but we believe in ourselves and know what we can do as a club."

Toni Duggan on Matchday Live 🗣

I feel gutted for them, so I can't imagine how they're feeling. Conceding in the last minute and having to pick yourself up again in such a massive game on Thursday is tough.

It was a tale of two halves, City were brilliant first half and then Chelsea turned up in the second. I'm gutted for the girls, a draw was probably a fair result.

They can still get that Champions League place but they would've liked a result today.

More from Kerstin 🗣

"The girls stepped up, Khiara had to do it and she did amazing with the saves, she kept us in the game and Kerolin's goal is amazing. Her having to come in and perform like that is something she can be proud of and shows the amazing quality we have.

"Obviously, the next game being another one against Chelsea is funny but having another game in three or four days is good, it keeps us in the rhythm and flow of playing and also doesn't let us dwell on this loss for too long. We have a 2-0 aggregate, so it's all to play for which helps us."
