"It's impressive when you do that [come from a goal down]. Everything tells you to do the opposite. We don’t behave in that way, we try to remain calm as much as we can because we know that calmness will take us back into the game. Of course we can raise the intensity sometimes and that’s still playing with a clear mind and the girls did that well today. Whether that was between Laia, Alex, Hasegawa, Leila moving up into position. I thought it was a really good performance."
How the WSL table currently looks.
"It feels great, obviously the aim was to win. We managed to do it. We seem to keep doing it the hard way but we got three points in the end.
“The goal, it was a good cross, she managed to get her hand to it, so I just tried to get anything on it, and it happened to come off my head. I knew the goalkeeper was off her line so I just tried to kick it over her and it managed to do the trick.
“I think it was important to get an early goal in that second half, it gave us a lot of time to get a second and obviously I knew where Jill [Roord] was gonna be. We’ve got a good connection, we’ve trained hard to work on that. It was a great finish by her."
