Post-Match reaction đź“ş

Gareth Taylor on Friday Night Football next up at the Etihad👇

“We are looking forward to it.

“We are obviously in great form – ten games unbeaten, nine wins in all competitions - we are doing well, we are moving in the right direction.

“It’s a bit of an unfamiliar game for us, going to the Etihad but it’s one we need to look forward to and enjoy.

“The previous times we have been there, we have done that.”

Gareth Taylor on Yamashita, Fowler and Aleixandri absences 👇

“Yama and Mary are just illness obviously with all of the travelling.

“Laia, we had to find out exactly, but it was something sustained with the Spanish team while she was away and we will have to check because we haven’t had time to assess.”

Post-Match reaction đź“ş

Gareth Taylor on the win 👇

“Most coaches would tell you it’s always difficult when you come back from the international break because you’re never too sure what you’re going to get.

“We only had two days of preparation and we spoke about putting out City hats back on, obviously having been in different environments and having to switch on to what we’re doing again quickly so we could extend our good start to the season.

“We certainly did that.”

Full-Time

Goals from Jess Park, Jill Roord and Bunny Shaw ensured a confident and assured 3-0 victory for City at Crystal Palace.

Park gave us an interval lead with a wonderful chipped effort on 40 minutes before Roord doubled our advantage with a sweet strike on 50 minutes.

Prolific scorer Shaw powered home a header on 73 minutes to put us three points ahead at the top of the WSL table and continue our unbeaten start to the 2024/25 campaign.

Reaction coming right up.

Nearly four...

Wonderful save there from Yanez to deny a Kelly screamer.
