THAT'S ALL FOLKS 👋

Thanks as ever for following this afternoon's match at the Emirates via our Matchday Centre.

An exciting occasion in north London ended even, but there was plenty to be positive about moving forward this season.

Next up is our UEFA Women's Champions League Round Two qualifying second leg meeting with Paris FC on Thursday 26 September - which is live on CITY+.

However, our pre-match build-up for Pep Guardiola's side's meeting with Arsenal at 16:30 (UK) this afternoon is well under way on mancity.com and our official app.

We'll see you next week 👊

GARETH TAYLOR POST MATCH 🗣

I'd have been happier with three [points] but with context of the game, a season opener at Emirates, people have to understand what that does it’s a big game, feels almost like a final and a very big pitch. Of course we have to be fairly content, the exciting thing though is I don't think we were at our best, if we can do that and still be off colour and get a point, that’s a real positive.

FULL-TIME: ARSENAL 2-2 CITY

An entertaining season opener ends level.

90'+7'

GREAT EFFORT

Kelly digs out a great cross which reaches Aleixandri whose powerful effort is saved well by Zinsberger.

90'+5'

CHANCE

Hasegawa's looped, recycled ball into the box finds Bunny who brings it down well but can't fire towards goal as Codina is across well to tackle. Ahhhh.
