That's a wrap πŸ‘‹

Thank you for your company as always, as City record a 12th in succession in all competitions.

Bunny Shaw and Lauren Hemp's strikes are enough to see us over the line and ensure Hanna Bennison's stunning strike didn't earn Everton anything from an exciting WSL clash.

We're back at the Joie Stadium on Thursday for another massive encounter, as we aim to reach the Continental Cup final with a win against Chelsea.

Until then, keep across mancity.com and the official Man City app for plenty of post-match reaction!

Up next

It's a busy week for City, with Gareth Taylor's side playing in two separate competitions over the next eight days.

First, Chelsea come to the Joie Stadium for our Continental Cup semi-final on Thursday evening, with kick-off set for 19:15 (UK).

Three days later, attentions turn to the FA Cup, when we face Spurs at Brisbane Road in the quarter-finals.

It's a tight turnaround but, a potentially season-defining week for City. It's started off in a strong way with a win this afternoon!

Gareth Taylor on City's second goal πŸ—£

"That goal was us all over, how we work and operate. Sometimes it comes off.

"It was a special goal, we moved the ball well between the lines and what a finish by Lauren to place it from that distance.

She was incredible today with and without the ball."

Top of the pile

City had to work for it, but we've got the win we needed to move top of the table for 24 hours at least!

Incredibly, it's a 12th win in a row for City in all competitions!
