Our official verdict from the King Power Stadium

Taylor reaction đź—Ł

"It's tough when you a play a team like Leicester who go player for player. It makes it difficult to play our flowing game. We had so many good opportunities but the second half was a bit more even.

"Last 15 minutes we have to be a bit more ruthless but I have to say it gives me a buzz that the players are so determined to get the clean sheet and the win."

Praise for Keating👏

Glowing praise from former WSL stars Fara Williams and Anita Asante on BBC Two...

Williams: "She's a fantastic young talent. When you're a young player, you're going to get that inconsistency, she was magnificent against Chelsea and did some really good things today."

Asante: "She's got bags of talent and I'd love to play with a goalkeeper like that. It's exciting for what the future holds for her."

A gutsy display

It wasn't pretty, but City got over the line when it mattered today.

Leicester made life difficult for us at the King Power Stadium, and showed why they started the day second in the table.

But we soaked up the pressure and were full value for the three points. We've shown the steel to match our silk.

Job done đź’Ş

Leicester manager Willie Kirk đź—Ł

"We showed a lot of resilience and thought we were good.

"You can see the disappointment in the players and the fact City are running the time down is a compliment to us.

"I don't think little Leicester are so little anymore."

FT

Full-time

We've done it - GET IN!

Another three points for City, and a win we had to work hard for.

90'+5'

Almost there

Shaw does really well to win a foul just inside the Leicester half, winding the clock down even more.

We're nearly there!

90'+3'

So close!

Shaw tries to find Hemp but puts too much on the pass to the winger.

Hemp recovers possession and cuts back onto her left foot, forcing a fine save from Leitzig.

If the initial pass had been a bit better weighted you'd have expected Hemp to find the net!
