That's a wrap

Thank you as always for your company here at the Joie Stadium!

It wasn't to be for City tonight, but there's still positive news to celebrate in the form of Demi Stokes making her 200th appearance for the Club.

We'll be back here on Sunday for our WSL clash with Spurs - until then, you can keep across all the best stats and reaction on mancity.com and the official Man City app!

Taylor on Stokes' 200th appearance 🗣

"Yeah of course [it's nice to see her back]. She adds experience and quality on the ball and communicates well with the team.

"That 200th appearance has been a long time in the making but we got there eventually.

"She reads the game really well in difficult situations. That experience she brings is something we've missed because we are quite a young team."

21:50

Taylor on strong finish 🗣

"When you finish the game like that that's more of a positive than the other way round, starting the first half well and having a flat second half performance.

"I just think it's an opportunity missed."

21:45

Taylor on performance 🗣

"We were disappointed with how we started the game and how we were a little bit passive.

"Coming from United when we were on the front foot, we were just off it in our pressing.

"The goals were poor and gave us an uphill battle but fair play, we were better in the second half.

"We could maybe have done more with the play at the end but it was a frustrating night."

Kirk on pragmatism 🗣

"These are all firsts for us. We've never been two ahead against Arsenal or City, so we need to learn from this and continue to be us.

"We need to be pragmatic when we have the ball.

"We have to be happy as a compliment that City put the press on. We never want to put doubt in the mind of our lack of confidence in them.

"We had a big discussion today about keeping our identity."

21:35

Kirk on penalties 🗣

"It was something the goalkeeper coach said to me.

"Janina has a great penalty record and if someone like that comes on it can put doubt in the penalty takers mind and it paid off."

21:33

Kirk on performance 🗣

"We needed that after the last couple of games. Being up against Arsenal and Tottenham. It was important.

"City came at us second half and we dealt with it a little bit better.

"We're not the finished article but it shows our progression."
