Taylor on Khiara Keating 🗣

"I've spoken previously about Khiara, because she's young she'll make mistakes.

"But she did a lot of good things in the game, and I think going through these experiences is what makes you as a goalkeeper and player.

"It's a learning experience, and while she might not feel great now, the team are right behind her."

"We'll be better for this"

The boss puts things into perspective:

"We're massively frustrated but we've done good things this season.

"It's a setback but we move on. The performance was very good in terms of a lot of the things we did.

"We'll be better for this."

Taylor speaking to the BBC 🗣

"We should've won the game, absolutely. It was a similar story to last season, we created so many chances and have to be better at the top end.

"I thought the performance was very good, we dominated. There was only one team looking likely to win but we have to be better in those areas.

"We feel a little bit robbed but I've always said to the players, it's on us. Today we've beaten ourselves."

Take the positives

It's always a sickener when you lose a game, but City remain just three points off the WSL summit.

The way we fought back from a goal down was admirable, and there's plenty to be proud of after another gutsy display.

Our official verdict from Meadow Park 💻

Pride in Battle

It's a horrible way to lose a match, and City deserved so much more this afternoon.

The players instantly make their way over to Keating to console the youngster, who is visibly upset after her mistake which led to the winning goal.

City should hold our heads high though, that was a gutsy display at Meadow Park.

FT

Full-time

Defeat for City at Meadow Park.

90'+16'

Fine margins

Castellanos dinks the ball in behind with Shaw racing in, but Zinsberger does *just* enough to clear.

Still time for City to grab a late, late equaliser.
