Maresca reaction 🗣️

Mistake to make so many changes?

No. I was happy with the way we planned the game, the rotation and very happy with the ones playing inside the pitch.

Rulli?

Apart from the penalties, overall he was good. It was not easy because they go man-to-man, aggressive. First half we went long to Floyd and second half on the floor. He made one good save too. He was good.

Tough game to be part of?

They are in a brilliant moment, winning games and scoring many goals every game. We knew that it was a tough game in terms of defending in the right way. We could probably have done something better defensively but we started just 3 months ago so there are many things we could have done better.

Expecting same on Saturday?

No doubt. I watched all of their games so far and no matter they always go on the front foot. Man to man.

Rulli reaction 🗣️

I feel amazing. I feel really good because I can help my teammates. Because it was also a tough night for us. To win the penalty shootout is a really, really nice feeling. I feel amazing.

For me it’s my moment [in penalty shootout]. In these situations I don’t feel the pressure, I try to play also with our fans. For me they are really important in these kind of moments. I know I would save any penalty. Before the game I spoke to Enzo Fernandez and told him if it goes to penalties I will save 2. I feel the confidence, I feel really nice in these kinds of situations. Ready to help.

In that moment when Mateo missed and I saved, that is the moment when the fans tried to help us and I tried to play with that. I feel really, really good in this moment, as I can help my teammates. The most important is because we go through and we want to go far.
