Neil Leigh at the Etihad 🗣️

It has been a more than decent day weather wise here in Manchester.

The early Autumn sun was beaming down earlier today when I went for stroll in south Manchester.

And though there was a stiff breeze in the air as I made my way to the stadium, the conditions should be perfect this evening as dusk approaches and the lights illuminate the Etihad.

That’s all anyone can ask for as we look ahead to a meeting between two of Europe’s most exciting sides.

And hopefully those earlier blue skies will act as an encouraging omen once the serious business gets underway.

Get hyped!

Our only game in this competition so far...

Defeat for the EDS...

Our youngsters went down 2-0 in the UEFA Youth League earlier this afternoon.

It was a high quality game, just as we expect tonight, but not the result Oliver Reiss and his side will have hoped for.

Black History Month

We Stand Together is our temporary installation outside the Etihad Stadium for the rest of the month, celebrating the Black fans, staff and players that contribute hugely to Manchester City.

Make sure to pay it a visit on your way to or from the ground. With five home matches in the next two-and-a-half weeks, there's plenty of opportunity to enjoy it.

Head to mancity.com and our official app to find out a little more about what it represents.

Club journalist Neil Leigh will bring updates all evening too!

A very good evening from the Etihad where there is already an air of excitement and keen anticipation as we countdown to tonight’s latest UEFA Champions League clash.

It’s our first European home game this term and a huge affair with reigning and back-to-back European champions Paris Saint-Germain the visitors.

It promises to an occasion back with truly world class quality wherever you look.

City of course will be seeking to further extend what has been a superb start to the season, with Enzo Maresca’s winning our first eight games across all competitions.

Luis Enrique’s visitors meanwhile will be seeking to extend their formidable European form – pedigree that saw PSG crowned Champions League victors in both 2025 and 2026.

It should be an absolute treat for the eyes!

Get to the Etihad early!

There's so much going on ahead of kick-off, you won't want to miss out!

Medlock Square's bars and eateries are now open, whether it's a quick bite from Brickworks Market Hall, a pint outside or something more substantial in one of our restaurants.

You're more than catered for before and after the game.

Medlock Square's attractions are open throughout the week too, so it doesn't have to be a matchday for you to come and make the most of the world-class dining and drinking we have on offer.

18:05

Everything to come...

It's a bumper Matchday Live tonight, starting at 18:25 (UK). Cel Spellman will be with David James and Izzy Christiansen in the studio while FG and Michael Brown will give us the atmosphere from pitchside.

Alistair Mann and Clive Allen will provide the in-game commentary for CITY+ subscribers.

And I'll be here with text updates all evening too of course!

Good evening!

Hello and welcome to our coverage of this evening's huge Champions League clash.

PSG are the back-to-back winners of this competition and therefore the best side in the world at the moment.

Both sides love to attack too, so I'm expecting a thriller on the pitch.

Let's get going!
