Wolves boss Rob Edwards: "They can suffocate you and starve you so we tried to take the ball more. We weren’t able to get behind them because their pressing was excellent and they played really well. If we tried to get behind with one pass they’d have the ball and we would get stuck. We tried to be more aggressive in the second-half. We were pushing and we had moments but if you open up against a team like this at the beginning, you're asking for trouble. The timing of the second goal was tough for us to take. If we'd have got one, you never know - it might have changed the vibe around the place.

Thought the ref did well today - Farai  Hallam's first Premier League appearance and it takes guts to stick by your guns over VAR. Was it a penalty? Subjective maybe, but nobody would mind if refs went to the monitor and didn't automatically go with VAR over their original decision.

Rodrigo Gomes speaking to Sky Sports: "They are one of the best teams in the Premier League and the world. We knew it would be a difficult game. In the first half City were better than us but in the second half it was more level.

"We need to keep working. They have a big team with strong players and we took a risk in the second half. We need to work more and keep improving all game."
