Guardiola reaction

"We could have scored four or five at the end. The chances we created were clear.. We have another victory. After international breaks, you are not in the rhythm, but in general it was a good game."

Here's our official verdict on today's proceedings...

17:24

Ruben Dias reaction

"A lot of work, they were not easy at all. First half we were more troubled, we couldn't really set up our game. Completely different second half and three points.

"In the first half we had a clear chance from Savinho, one from Phil Foden and one from Jeremy Doku. We had chances, always happy when anyone scores and happy for Erling to score.

"He's a very important player for us, we want everyone to be involved and everyone to be scoring not just Erling. It's important that he's on his rhythm and makes a big difference for us when he is.

"One game at a time. We're good, improving, many coming back from injury which is good for us. Happy to see almost everyone available by now. We will keep on building and hopefully keep on winning."

Pat Nevin on BBC Radio 5 Live

"Pretty simple in the end for Man City. They hold the ball, ask the opponents questions, wait for them to mentally or physically. When Haaland scored the first goal, the only question was how many would it be?

"And how many would Haaland get? It's only a slight surprise that he just got the two. It should have been three or maybe even four. Man City are beginning to cruise."

More from Foden...

"I think I am improving my relationship with Erling. I played a few good passes in behind for him today which he could have scored from. Unfortuantely every time I pass to him he seems to miss. We are dfinitely building that relationship. I'm finding that ball in behind and getting the ball into areas where he can score goals. Something we have been working on."

Phil Foden reaction

"It was difficult. I think in the first half we weren’t really at it. We weren’t playing forward as quick as we could do. We took too long on the ball and we couldn’t find the space in between the lines. The manager spoke about it at half time. In the second half we were much more meaningful going forward, breaking lines and we had a lot of chances, we created a lot. Overall we can be happy with the performance."
