Pep Guardiola reaction đŸ“ș

On the victory...

“I give incredible credit to the victory because Bournemouth are in a good phase.

“They play minute 1 and minute 85 in the same rhythm.

“In transition, nobody can stop them. Brooks and Semenyo are top class players. The talent we had between the lines, especially Haaland made the difference.

“Hopefully Arsenal can concede a goal one day. It’s not easy to face them. I had the feeling in the FIFA Club World Cup that we were good.

“It’s just 10 games, 28 to play. The feeling is to be better and better.”

On the game...

“We were decent but decent is not enough to take something from this stadium.

“You have to do something special against City.

“If you want to take something, you have to take the moments.

“In the first half, they punished us with Haaland.

“We accept there’s a risk behind our line and against other players you might have time to correct but against Haaland it’s impossible.”

Erling Haaland reaction đŸ“ș

On the victory

“Important win. It’s good to bounce back after losing a bad away game. It was nice.

“I tried to contribute for the team by doing my job and we won again. It’s good to win, that’s when everyone is happy. That’s what we try to do all the time.

“So now we have two more important games before the international break and let’s keep focusing.”

On Rayan Cherki

“We all know his qualities so it’s about trying to get the best out of everyone.

“Today he had two amazing assists to me. Hopefully there will be many more.”

On being unstoppable

“I didn’t score in the last game!

“I try to help the team to win, that’s my goal.

“Even by scoring, or helping with winning duels, it doesn’t matter. As long as we win, that’s what I want to do.

“I want to win games and I want to help the team become a better football team. That’s my job.”

City moved up into second spot in the Premier League after a 3-1 win over high-flying Bournemouth at the Etihad.

Erling Haaland bagged a double in the first half while Nico O’Reilly scored a peach after the break to set the seal on an important three points that put us behind Arsenal in the table.

Haaland’s brace put him on 13 goals so far this season – and on 98 in total in the Premier League as he chases down the illustrious 100 Club.

It was a superb victory in a high-octane game, with further tests against Borussia Dortmund in the UCL on Wednesday and Liverpool in the Premier League next Sunday to come in a busy week of action.
