Andy Hinchcliffe on Sky Sports

"Manchester City really needed to win but a point is better than nothing. They have shown resilience, they have shown character. They have shown that they want to be champions."

Pep reaction

"We played very good in the first-half, we gave away a goal and they came back and made it a good English game - they were so aggressive. It is not easy because they defend so well, but we take a point and until it is over, we will keep going."

Just getting my breath back. Yes, it's desperately disappointing not to win, but to come back and take something from that game shows real guts.

Stay tuned

Plenty more to come on a night of pure drama on Merseyside including reaction, highlights and whatever else we can find

Brilliant Doku

He is getting better and better. Unplayable on the flanks, he showed twice what he is capable of tonight with two almost identical goals - each was a curling shot into the top corner and he was outstanding this evening. Take a bow, son!

So, the title is now out of our hands. We play Brentford on Saturday and we HAVE to win that. If we do, it's over to Arsenal who take on West Ham the next day. It feels like this weekend is absolutely key, but we cannot drop any more points
