Pep reaction 📺

On the game 👇

“I would say we played really good all game. We were 2-0 down and we created a lot and I said at half time we were playing good.

“Our momentum was sparked with a free-kick from Kevin and after that we played a really good game considering we were 2-0 down and considering how Crystal Palace have been in the past games.”

On KDB’s display 👇

“The Kevin we have known for many years.

“I know he's struggled the last year and a half. He's free without pain and completely different.

“The way we played helped him a lot with incredible runners, the young lads, the full-backs.”

KDB reaction 📺

On the game 👇

“Of course, the scoreline didn’t reflect the first 20 minutes but we found a way to change the game.

“I am happy we found a way.

“I thought the first 20 minutes was alright but they had the chances and I thought - what’s going on here? The reaction was good. Overall I though we played really well.”

On what City need to do between now and the end of the season 👇

“We need to win these games. I think perform the way we did – be aggressive, we always do well when we are aggressive.”

On what the end of season will be like for him 👇

“I don’t know how I will feel. I have been been 10 years. I want to enjoy it and play good football like I did today.”

On what winning the FA Cup would mean 👇

“That would be brilliant. We play Nottingham Forest who have done really well. We will give it another shot at winning.”

From Pitchside 📺

James McAtee reaction 👇

“I don’t think we deserved to be 2-0 down. The game got away from us.

“We showed good character to come back.

“Everyone was up for the game and we wanted to prove a point and show we want to finish in those Champions League spots.

“I am a bit frustrated because I could have got more goals but I got one and I’m happy with that.

“We are trying to finish in the Champions League spots and hopefully we can.”

Full-Time

Huge result. Huge three points.

Goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Omar Marmoush, Mateo Kovacic, James McAtee and Nico O’Reilly ensured a comeback 5-2 victory over Crystal Palace.

The Eagles went 2-0 up courtesy of Eberechi Eze and Chris Richards and the England winger actually had a goal disallowed for offside which would have give us an even bigger mountain to climb.

But KDB’s free-kick and Marmoush’s clinical finish ensured we went in at the break on level terms.

The Blues came out for the second half early with intent in their eyes and so it proved with Kovacic smashing us ahead and McAtee – on his first Premier League start – meeting an Ederson throughball before finishing with aplomb.

O’Reilly put the cherry on the icing on top of the cake with a wonderfully controlled volley which guaranteed an afternoon to remember.

The whole team deserves credit but the performance of the outgoing De Bruyne was truly sensational.
