Pep on Savinho 💬

"Good impact. He has incredible quality and can attack the byline. He will help Erling to score.

"Look at the goal we score, byline and score. He was aggressive.

"With our wingers, I ask that to dribble and affect the opponent. He did it really well for the 35 minutes he played."

Pep on McAtee and Bobb 💬

"They have the standards that we have. I know them, especially McAtee, from a long time ago.

"We saw Oscar last season. They have the confidence from their mates. They adore them. They can rely on them.

"Oscar made a fantastic game in the States. McAtee, every game he is better and today was closer to the McAtee he can be."

Pep Guardiola reaction 💬

"I saw many things today that I like. The first 35 minutes were beyond excellent with the time we have together.

"Manu and Ruben do just one session, many players have holidays. We are far away.

"We win one trophy and it’s nicer, but nothing changed because we win one title."

Pep Guardiola on Oscar Bobb 💬

"What an action, he’s really good in small spaces and his work ethic is so good in short and long spaces.

"It was a difficult game, we did 35 minutes excellent, but then the ball was like a balloon.

"We lost a lot of balls and after on the transitions they’re one of the best in the world with Rashford, Garnacho, Bruno, they’re dangerous to control but in the end we did it."

Pep Guardiola speaking to ITV Sport

"For the stage of the season against our rivals in Manchester, I know what it means for the fans and to start with a title is good. Today of course we’re really pleased.

"He [Akanji] missed in the Euros, and I love that personality to take it. He deserved to shoot in the middle, and he did it.

"You don’t know, but he’s [Ederson] our best penalty taker alongside Erling and Kevin, all three are the best, it was really good and yeah, this last season we were out of the Champions League on penalties, sometimes yes sometimes no."
