OK, reaction is very slow coming in, so going to wrap up now. Painful night, but we'll be back. Let's hope Gareth Taylor's side can cheer us up as City take on Spurs this Friday night at the Etihad. If you've not got your tickets yet, get down and cheer on our girls in the WSL. Thanks for being with us this evening and we'll do it all again on Saturday against Brighton.
Bernardo reaction
I" actually felt we started well and were creating chances, but we knew how strong and quick they are and we gave them too many chances early in the second half. We need to look inside and see what we are not doing well. It's difficult because I don't remember us losing three games in a row in seven or eight years, but we need to do better."
Still to come...
We will hear from the boss and possibly have some player reaction. Pep will be as honest as ever, so let's see what he has to say. Three defeats with many players missing and we probably should have at least drawn with Spurs and could have snatched a point at Bournemouth. Tonight, we created chance after chance and Erling will be seething, but never pull the tiger's tail... we wil be back. Rest assured...
Now on to Brighton... the games don't get any easier do they?
Sporting up to second, City down to sixth with plenty of other teams to play, so that will be a few places lower by this time tomorrow.
We got off to a flyer but couldn't convert the chances that followed. Eventually, a team in the form Sporting are will make you pay. Our injury list is awful and this result doesn't look good, but we'll be back.
Final score: Sporting 4-1 City
Bad night at the office but could have been so different....
Three defeats in a row for the Blues - our players and Pep will be hurting and the boss will be doing a lot of thinking ahead of our game at Brighton. But period like this are almost non-existent and this group will want to prove any doubters wrong.
Five minutes of added to play...
